Multi-passionate Nurse, Mom, &
Complex Problem-Lover
In Spring 2023, I left my job as a successful nurse manager for a unit and organization that I deeply loved, because of burnout. I began writing in an attempt to heal. Before long, I had written the better part of a book, not knowing the ending quite yet.
Until suddenly, I did.
I wanted to create a platform that would treat the root cause of post-pandemic burnout, by designing opportunities for interpersonal healing through meaningful connection. This means re-thinking workflows in our current systems, but possibly also creating entirely
new models of care delivery.
Initiating a mindset for innovative change in the interest of caregiver well-being is something that is only possible through aligned influence. Sometimes, it's about understanding where to start, to have the most probable, efficient path to desirable outcomes.
I'm inspired to share my story and expand upon my theory - how we heal ourselves & the nursing profession. My vision for the future is one where nurses are smiling again, patients are receiving our best care, and organizations are thriving.
Connection &
Vulnerability.
Help others,
to Heal yourself
...Transcend.
The company philosophy is inspired by Self-Transcendence Theory (Reed, 1991). It maintains that leaning into our own vulnerability, and finding meaningful connection, is how we transcend trauma and burnout. But wait, there's a twist!
Today's level of work burden and nurse burnout (91% in 2023 state of nursing report) mean it is imperative that we clear the physical barriers to meaningful connection. That is how we will achieve transcendence for nurses and healthcare organizations.
There's a secret sauce
to job satisfaction.
That when we help others
We heal ourselves.
In working smarter
not harder.
Transcendence for nursing
is possible.
